Seasoning Blend

  • 1 tbsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp black pepper freshly ground
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika regular or smoked
  • 1/2 tsp oregano dried
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes optional, for heat

Instructions
 

  • In a small mixing bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  • Stir until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  • Transfer the seasoning to an airtight container and store in a cool, dry place for up to six months.
  • Use 1-2 teaspoons per cheesesteak, adjusting to taste.

Notes

For a smokier flavor, add ½ teaspoon of smoked paprika. To enhance umami, mix in a dash of Worcestershire powder. Adjust red pepper flakes or cayenne for a spicier kick.
