Ingredients
  

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked rice preferably day-old
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp ginger minced
  • 2 green onions chopped

Seasonings

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1/2 tsp white pepper optional

Optional Additions

  • 1/2 cup frozen peas
  • 1/2 cup carrots diced
  • 1/2 cup shrimp cooked

Instructions
 

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok over medium-high heat.
  • Add beaten eggs and scramble until just set. Remove from the wok and set aside.
  • Add another tablespoon of oil, then sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant.
  • Add the cooked rice and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, breaking up any clumps.
  • Push the rice to one side and add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Stir everything together.
  • Return the scrambled eggs to the wok, add green onions, and mix well.
  • Stir in optional vegetables or proteins if using, and cook for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  • Serve hot and enjoy your homemade egg fried rice!

Notes

For the best texture, always use day-old rice. You can customize this dish by adding your favorite vegetables or protein.
